Plot

Colt Seavers is stunt performer, works as the stunt double for famous action star Tom Ryder. However, he gets injured during stunt and he abandons his career and his girlfriend Jody Moreno, a camerawoman. One year later, he goes back into action when the star of a movie suddenly disappears. The mystery deepens, and he finds himself engaged in a sinister plot that pushes him to edge of a fall more dangerous than any stunt.

Star performance

The performance of Ryan Gosling was realistic on the screen. He has delivered his charm and physicality. He has given a magnetic performance. As always, Emily Blunt shines in her role. The chemistry between Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt was enjoyable to watch. All the cast have performed well in their assigned role.

Analysis

The director, David Leitch has included insane stunt in this movie. He and his team have tried to balance between character, comedy, and action. The cinematography is handled well, portraying the right emotions of the characters. The editing syncs well between the scenes. The music is apt for the situation creates different mood in the movie. Hannah Waddingham and Winston Duke get to have some fun, reminding the viewers that they can do a bit of everything. This movie gives a message for anyone worried about AI and deep fakes. The stunt choreographer has included a record breaking cannon roll stunt, an incredible fight in a spinning dumpster and more than one massive vehicle jump.

Verdict

The Fall Guy is for the people who love action movies. This movie pushbacks all the character-less, humourless block blusters that have been coming off over the last few years. It is a must watch in theatres.
